Questions on Site Use

K Swenson, 7 months, 4 weeks

Hope it is OK to ask this question. Overall this looks like a very interesting site, very useful. But I could not get a few things to work.

1) I tried to edit a model but got an error from the Oryx editor. I tried with both Mozilla and IE, but neither worked. I tried creating a new process model, and got the same error. Is this a transient problem?

2) When viewing the models, they start full sized when the page is building, but a moment later shrink to fit in the area. Unfortunately, on all but the simplest models, this makes the text in the activities too small to read. Is there any way to "zoom in" and view the model full size in a scrolling box?

3) Many of the text boxes complain about not being available in "my language" even though they are clearly in English. Any way to change the language setting on the text that is already there?

4) I a made a response to a question, and put a link in the response, but the link appears not to work. The links appear in the other entries and work. The link appears in my entry as underlined words, but clicking there does not take me to the site. Does it just appear that way to me because it is my entry, or did I create the link incorrectly?

Thanks for the help on this

At first I want to thank you for your feedback. It is always welcome.

1) The Oryx Editor does not work with IE, so you have to use the Firefox browser. Did you try to create a process from within the Rich Text Editor?

2) If you are on model page, you can find the zoom controls and the button for the full screen view in the upper part of the right panel right below the navigator box.

3) We are currently working on a major update which will create separate sites for every language. So the messages you see at the moment will vanish in future.

4) This is a bug with the OK button. After you entered an URL don't use the OK button to close the window. Just click anywhere else in the editor window or use the "x" in the right upper corner and your link should work.

If you have more questions feel free to ask us.

Still can't edit. I use Firefox 3.5, and get this message:

An error occured

An error occured. It was logged and debugging will begin shortly. We are deeply sorry for any inconveniences. Thank you for your patience and understanding. If you'd like to contact us about this error, please do so at info@bpmn-community.org.

Thanks for pointing out the zoom controls and the other tips.

I think I know where the bug is. We will fix it as fast as possible.

Alright we fixed the bug. It was a problem with the authentication, which should work fine now.
So you should have no problems opening the oryx editor with Firefox any longer.

Please to reply.
